To the Palestinian Civil Society

The Italian NGOs in Palestine ask for the immediate liberation of Simona Torretta, Simona Pari, Ra'ad Ali Abdul-Aziz e Mahnaz Bassam belonging to the Italian Associations “Un Ponte per...” and Intersos kidnapped in Baghdad

We have been working besides the Palestinians and the oppressed peoples, all, everywhere in the world, also in our countries. We fight because still we believe that a dignified and peaceful future is possible and necessary. In the years we had to multiply our efforts alongside with the increasing racism, intolerance, individualism, violence, and wars everywhere. For years we worked side by side in the civil societies in order to build together possible, concrete, and sustainable alternatives, in the dialogue and mutual respect.

For these reasons we cannot accept any civilization clash imposed by a brutal war that incited and created this clash for the obscure outline of its promoters.

We do not believe that neither the Palestinian people nor the Iraqi, fighting against the military occupations of their lands, could call resistance actions as that carried out by a further nameless group in Iraq, which plays the game of this dirty war, which takes victims among the Iraqi population itself, which uses our bodies - often instead used to prevent that other victims would have been taken.

The blackmail and terror game continues to be in the hands of who wants the war, not of who fights the war and of who asks for justice, rights, peace, and freedom.

We ask to the Palestinian civil society to join our voices in asking the kidnappers for the immediate liberation of our brothers and sisters without any conditions; to strongly condemn this act and to undertake actions to take distance as much as possible from these cellules submitted to the terror.
